The Branagh version of The Ghost Scene was very dark and scary. The Ghost had scary eyes and the atmosphere of the scene fit very well. The smoke coming from the ground as he whispered the Hamlet, mad the scene that more scary. It was very dramatic and suspenseful. There were flashabcks to Hamlet life and his death which explained the scene more and helped us understand what was really going on.
The Zeffirelli version was the best version in my opinion. It seemed to be the most realistic out of the 3. It was slow and dark. The music was suspenseful which made the scene better. The music made the scene more scary as if something was going to pop up and scare the audience. The Ghost showed a lot of emotion and so did Hamlet. I like suspense so I liked this version.
The Almereyda version was the most modern version. I did not like how the old English went with the whole modern setting. It wasnt realistic at all to me and the mix of language didn't go well. The Ghost didn't have as much emotion as he should have had. He was far too calm. This version was nothing like the others. I would have liked to see a castle and more emotion from the characters.
